TEN Signs Contract with Adams County, Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh based The Efficiency Network, Inc, a subsidiary of Duquesne Light Holdings, enters into a Guaranteed Energy Savings contract, valued at $3.2 Million, with Adams County, Pennsylvania.

Adams County, Pennsylvania has entered into a contract with The Efficiency Network (TEN) to implement over $3 million in energy efficiency investments at four Adams County facilities (Courthouse, Correctional Facility, Emergency Services & Human Services)

The agreement between the County and TEN was developed via the Guaranteed Energy Savings Act (GESA). Through GESA, the county will invest in energy efficiency measures at Adams County and pay for them over time with the annual savings from reduced utility consumption.

The Adams County project will invest in new boilers and hot water heaters, new chillers, new rooftop HVAC unit, new air handlers, upgraded controls and retro-commissioning, variable speed drives, water conservation and building envelope improvements. The projects are projected to reduce the facility’s energy spending by 13.3%.

TEN, based in Pittsburgh, provides energy efficiency services to state and local government, higher education, healthcare, and K-12. TEN is a subsidiary of Duquesne Light Holdings.
